After a Weekend of Exploring

I am back in Savannah after a long weekend in Atlanta. I went there to support my daughter and we ended up doing some interesting things. Drove down to Columbus, GA, to go to a Goodwill Outlet, not just a Goodwill store. At an outlet you dig through bins, they change out the bins regularly, and you pay by the pound. This is a great way to stock up on cheap fabric for upcycling projects. From there we went to check out downtown Columbus. If you have never been, I highly recommend. The city is very charming with lots of cute shops. We even indulged in some crazy milkshakes. Yes, even though I own a health food store, I occasionally treat myself. It’s all about balance.

On Saturday, we dressed up in our purple dresses and headed to the Lavender Festival. I didn’t know there was such a thing. There wasn’t much lavender, other than a lavender margarita, but there were many local vendors, an antebellum house to tour and we just had a good time. Found another art fair nearby after that and caught a cereal eating contest. That was both hilarious and disturbing. The first person to eat an entire box of Trix cereal was the winner. The eight year old won by just shoveling it in with his hands. As I said, it was a bit disturbing.

Anyway, it’s Tuesday and there is a lot to get done with being gone for a few days. Lots of catching up to do as those that cover for me do not really know everything that I do, so, they just muddle through. I do appreciate, however, that there are a couple of people who can man the register and answer the phone when I am not here.

I continue to work on ways to reach out and let people know I am here. If anyone has any suggestions, please leave them in the comments. With that, it’s time to get to work and get caught up.

Until next time,

                Have a Healthy Day
