Another Fine Day in Savannah

Another fine day it is here in Savannah. Bright, sunny with a high of 88 expected. I don’t mind the heat. In fact, I rather like it. I’ve spent most of my life in the upper Midwest being cold. So, being warm, even a little overwarm, is just fine.

The past day was fairly good. I had 3 people walk through the door and actually buy something, and all of them were repeat customers! Yay me! The last person of the day was my favorite, and every retailer’s favorite customer. She came in, grabbed a basket right away, and started filling it up. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the other two people were really nice and I totally appreciate that they came to me to purchase their items. I would love to get 15-20 more of those people on a daily basis as they would make up the bulk of my sales. However, when you are starting out and someone comes in to spend a lot of money, inside you do a little jump and say to yourself, “Yay! I can pay another bill!!” It’s very exciting when you don’t have to stress about paying bills.

As for today, we have started ok with a small mail order and my mother came in to make a purchase. Thanks Mom! Now it’s time to get busy with all the other things that need to be done, whether I like doing them or not, and hope that more people come in. The more likely people come in, the more likely I am to stay in business. Details….
