It's Hot Out There!

Boy it’s been warm out! It seems like it’s been a scorcher all across the country this summer. I hope everyone is staying cool and you have weathered the storms so far. Just a couple more months of this for the northern states and we have until November to get through hurricane season. Hopefully we all catch a little break soon.
If you are outside remember to hydrate, add some electrolytes to that water, and slow down your movements. Trace minerals are a great way to add electrolytes along with drinking coconut water or watermelon water, your natural choices are endless. Try to stay in the shade and do any heavy physical activity early or late in the day. Lastly, if you have a headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, irritability, thirst, heavy seating, elevated body temperature, or decreased urine output, you might be suffering from heat exhaustion and should treat it right away. That was my Public Service Announcement and now we will continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
It’s Wednesday and I’ve just been getting things done, just a busy bee. I had a sales rep come in this morning. It’s always nice to chat with someone in the industry and learn new things. I also learn about new products that I want to share with all of my amazing customers. By the way, I did have some of those today, customers. For the last few weeks it’s been pretty consistent which is very good.
The sewing is still continuing as well. I only have 1 repair to work upon but I’m sure there will be more. I finished a Dickies jumper last night and have 2 more outfits to finish. Then it’s time to make all the different patterns for the different sizes and, I’m guessing, we will have this up and available in the next couple of weeks. I also have to make time to make things for myself. I wanted 14 dresses for this warmer weather and I’m only at 7. I have to make more!!
Now this afternoon should be more interesting. I have a couple people stopping by to do a promotional video. This person’s company has been primarily about wedding videos and they are trying to branch out into marketing videos. I don’t have the money to pay someone for this service but it would be helpful to promote the store. Therefore, we are doing a trade. They will put the video together and I will be able to use it on my social media mentioning them and they will get to put it in their portfolio to show others what they can do. It’s a win-win for both of us. I like that we can make a trade like this happen and it will benefit both parties.
On that note, I should go as they will be here soon. Stay cool and I will tell you all about this experience tomorrow.
Until next time,
Have a Healthy Day
